The first project i started was a ´93 Williams Indiana Jones which i found in Belgium. The condition of this machine was not the best - but all important functions they worked. Only some little problems and also the Adventure Path didn´t work. But many parts of metal had much oxidations; and so it was time that this pinball could change his place and home. His old home was a garden house of wood - no wonder why he gets his oxidations.

In the time i searched in the web for informations about the Indy theme and Indy pinballs there was a time that i found some pictures about a prototype playfield. This was the basic idea for my renovation and modding of my Indy pinball; but it would not be a copy 1:1 from this prototype; no my thoughts go to the way: some features from the prototype and some new ideas. Some times later after my Indy was ready i get some more informations about this prototype playfield. There was produced a overlay decal in the prototype design but there was never an original printed playfield as i found in the web. This overlay decals - as i get the information it was only a minimum of pieces (near 15 ??) was given away from the designer Mark Ritchie (this was information from him) And he writes me: It was never the time that Williams gave in this time 1993 an OK for producing a prototype pinball. There was only existing three whitewood playfileds and after all work was done the Indy went complete into the production. There was only a pre-production of Indy machines with the original Lost Plastc; the lanes of the Adventure Path was in first from metal; and there was the lightning from the Jackpot in the DMD Display. I made the following moddings at my Indy machine: The logo of Dr.Jones changed to “DAD”, at the upper side of the skrabäus i made two new big wings with some green plants; a changed design of the jackpot plastic; new model planes like from the movie; printed flipper fingers; new plastic (more big) at the right top of the wire ramp; decals at the seíde of the Adventure Path; decals at the backboard and first time at the sidewalls; ( meanwhile there a some people which make it for some pinballs as assembly); printed bumper Caps; new coloured Idol; five layers clearcoated playfield; new decals at the cabinett walls; all parts under the playfield which were damaged are moved for new parts; the Adventure Path was repaired and new justed. Many other features were made and and and.... but in short time the Indy will be go into parts again because i need some of this parts for my new Indy 3. The wonderful playfield will go to my wall for a interesting wall decoration with lightning, but more about this in future.
